A Citizen Perspective on Mis- and Disinformation | speaker: Claes de Vreese

This event is part of the Speaker Series on Misinformation, co-sponsored by the Shorenstein Center for Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School and the NULab at Northeastern University.

In this latest installment of the Misinformation Speaker Series, Claes de Vreese will provide analysis on how citizens perceive mis- and disinformation and who they see as the main culprits. The presentation will also explore misconceptions about how algorithms work and how this may aggravate the consequences of misinformation. Finally, de Vreese will review recent European initiatives specifically addressing mis- and disinformation.
