The lab is a collaboration between the University of Amsterdm (UvA), Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) and Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI). Together with media partners, societal partners and the City of Amsterdam, participants in the lab work together on how AI and digital technology are transforming media and democracy.
What are you going to do?
As a Lab Manager of the AI, Media & Democracy Lab, you will be working closely together with researchers from the different departments and the media partners, societal partners and City of Amsterdam. An important part of your activities will be to build and organize the lab community, reach out to, and maintain relationships with external partners, represent the lab in planning meetings, e.g. in the context of the NLAIC ELSA Steering Committee, and help us organise internal and external events and outreach activities. As the acquisition of external funds is an important part of the activities of the lab, you are expected to support the researchers in the formation of consortia and writing of research grants, in close cooperation with the involved partners and the Amsterdam IXA Exchange. As the first contact person for the project you are someone with excellent communication skills.
